Keeping Valuable Relationships

Sometimes those who crown kings don’t look like kings and may never become kings but they can help one wear the crown.

A short story

There was a poor man who wrote a book at the age of 40 and decided to launch it on his birthday. He had no money to fund the launching and so he decided to seek help from a millionaire in his community.

He made a visit to the millionaire’s home and after they exchanged pleasantries, he told his host what brought him. The millionaire told him to take out a piece of paper and pen. He said, “I’ll give you a test. If you pass it, I’ll give you the money you need and if you fail, I’ll still give you the money”. He then told him to write down the names of 10 people who could give him 10k each for his book during the launch. Surprisingly, the man could not write even 3 names.

Relationship is a currency

It’s not enough to have talent and skills. But there is much gain in building valuable relationships. A wise man once said, your network is directly proportional to your net worth.

Relationship is a stream of income.
Everything in life actually reproduces on the basis of relationship. Men are lifted through men. Many are talented but lack the right direction and person to announce them.

Who one knows matters a lot in life. There are heights and opportunities one will never attain if one don’t understand the power of keeping valuable relationships. Classmates and colleagues at work may be the ones that will lead one to his/her destiny helper because you have no idea who they know.

It takes just a recommendation to change a story. Don’t despise anyone. They might be needed one day.

Story: Be there for someone

An old man once told me the story of how as a young man, his mother used to ask him: “What is the most important part of your body?” Through the years, he would take a guess at what he thought was the correct answer. First time, his answer was: “The ears.” The mother replied: “No, many people are deaf. But you keep it and I’ll ask you soon again.” Several years passed before she asked him again. His second answer was: “My eyes”. The mother told him: “You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct, there are many people who are blind.”

Then a year later, his father died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Then the mother looked at the graveside and when it was their turn to say their final goodbye to their father, she asked him, “Do you know the most important body part yet, my son? He was shocked when she asked him by the graveside. The mother said to him: “Don’t be confused or shocked. This question is very important now and it shows you have really lived in your life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you that you were wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson.” Then the mother looked down at him and threw her head to his shoulder and hugged him. With tears in her eyes, she said “My son, the most important part of your body is your shoulder.”

Wow! This young man was forced to ask: “Mum, it is because it holds up my head?” She replied, “No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometimes in life. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it.” There and then this young man knew the most important body part is not a selfish one. It is made for others and not for yourself. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.

People will forget what you said and did. But people will never forget how you made them feel in their crises times. Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see them, but you always know them when they around you. No wonder a wise man said “If you want to be wisely selfish, care for others.” Yes! It will come back for you. Be someone’s shoulder today.

Legacy: Larry or Harry?

Legacy

Life is dynamic. It changes each time we look at it from different perspectives. This is a story you might know. It tells of two opposites: selfishness and generosity, greed and contentment.

Larry and Harry

Larry and Harry, two homeless men were given a chance to travel to a third world country on an all-expenses paid trip.

They were told to carry nothing and to return with nothing. They were to make sure they spent all that was given to them. Provision had been made for their expenses and welfare which they would get upon arrival at their destination. The only caveat was that neither of them knew when they would be asked to return home.

When they arrived, they were both given a huge sum of money and a credit card with no limits, but reminded to spend it all before returning to their home country. At this, they became instantly wealthy by local standards.

Harry thought to himself. “Wow! This is my opportunity to live like a king for I don’t know how long this would last”. So he went and rented a Ferrari and rented the best room in the best hotel in town. He went to the best stylist, shaved and transformed his looks. He had parties everyday. Everyone in the city thought the cars and the wealth were his and they loved and respected him for it.

But at the back of his mind, Harry knew he would go back home someday and leave all of it behind but he didn’t want to think about it. He just wanted to live the moment and enjoying himself to the fullest.

Larry, on the other hand rented a small Honda to get him around town and stayed in a modest inn. He thought to himself. “This money will not last and I don’t know when I am going back so I have to do something tangible with it.” He decided to use it to change some people’s lives while he had the time. So he got busy, went out on the streets and started making a difference. He didn’t just give away money, rather he tried to help people to be self-sufficient. He paid off all the school fees of some promising young ones to enable them get an education and take care of themselves and their families. He found some responsible adults and funded them in a business that guaranteed they would be able to take care of their family and create employment. He devised a means of helping some of the homeless people get off the street and getting them into a trade for he thought “I wish someone would do this for me when I get back.” In short Larry spent his time changing lives.

Then after two months they were suddenly notified that it was time to go back. They hadn’t even finished spending all the money but still had to leave it all. They both said their goodbyes and headed for the airport.

At the airport they were given their original clothes to put back on before boarding the plane back to their country. Harry reminisced on the good times he had but wasn’t too happy that he was going back to his old life.
How would he readjust to being homeless?

Larry on the other hand felt good. He came with nothing and is leaving with nothing, but he at least helped others with a chance at life and that alone meant the world to him. Readjusting to being a homeless person wouldn’t be a problem because he never lived like the wealth was his anyway and always had it at the back of his mind that he would leave it all someday.

But little did they know that each moment they spent on vacation was being secretly recorded and they would be rewarded accordingly.

Now, which one do you think would be cast back out to the slums as a homeless person and which one would be entrusted with large sums of wealth and position of authority?

The same goes with our lives. We are here on a mission and will return empty handed except for the recordings of our dealings on earth. Many walk around thinking that the wealth they have is theirs to keep forever. When we look at the mirror, we think that what we see will always be there, forgetting that everything is temporal.

Have a good day of reflection.

Self Confidence

When you believe in yourself anything is possible.

Why not?

If you are lucky enough to find your passion, then how could giving up be an option? Giving up means accepting a lifetime of wondering what could have happened if you just believed in yourself enough to follow through. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you go, just keep going and don’t lose hope.

But you may not achieve much if you are not self confident. So let’s consider attributes of a self confident person.

Like a blog like this? Click here to start

Attributes of a self confident person

Smile: For me, smiles are facial dresses. People love and admire people who smile. Not the one that begins and ends with the mouth, the one that starts from the eyes. Genuine, loving smile attracts people, creates friendship and unlocks doors! Be a genuinely happy person and show it by smiling at people. Smiling makes one confident.

Humility: Humble people don’t lack self confidence! In fact it takes humility to have self confidence. When you learn to accommodate all class of people, you learn to serve others. That makes you grow dynamic and open minded. You also learn to be respectful and submissive to authorities.

Confidence: Confident people are attractive any time. Knowing who you are, pursuing your dreams, vision, passion and goals makes you a confident person worth investing in. When you find your passion you approach life with a positive mind set. You become energetic and believe in yourself. You have a sound self esteem and people are irresistibly drawn to you.

Friendliness: Being friendly is different from being desperate. When you go out, attend positive programmes, conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums and serve in your local church or volunteer, you build a network and grow your confidence. So enjoy meeting people and getting to know them purely for friendship.

Generosity: Be generous to people. Be generous with your smile, love, talent, service, money, prayers, whatever you have that can bless lives. Generous people are like magnets, they never lack admirers. Compassion is a beautiful virtue. It builds self confidence.

Forgiveness: Forgive your past. Forgive all who disappointed you. Practice advance forgiveness, forgive people before they hurt you, because more people will offend you. If you find it difficult forgiving people, you will grow bitter and that kills self confidence when people stay away from you.

Intelligence: People like and admire intelligent people. Know when, how and where to talk. Know what is going on around you. Read about every topic. Know a little of everything. Intelligence builds self esteem.

Neatness: Dirtiness does no good. A disorganized and rough person lacks coordination to say the least! Take good care of yourself. Haircuts are essential. Tattoos and rings are not made for everyone. Appearing neat and presentable boosts self confidence. Because you don’t need to worry how you look or smell. Is it not said that cleanliness is next to godliness?

Dress sense: Wear something that fits you, not what is in vogue. Get a good tailor who can sew clothes that fits your body shape. Learn about your body shape and wear something that flatters your figure. Make-ups should be moderate. A good dress sense makes you sweet to look at and simply irresistible! Remember, the way you dress is the way you will be addressed.

Love yourself: You can’t love others if you don’t love yourself. Celebrate yourself and your uniqueness. Accept yourself the way you are, because you are simply the best. No one will be as unique as you. Don’t envy people because not everyone has what you have.

Godliness: Godly people carry golden virtues. Those virtues are in fact the summary of all attributes listed here. Honestly people find good godly people irresistible.

There’s a goldmine in you!

Take charge now. Start working on that talent. Bring your ideas to life and never stop believing in you. If not now, when? If not you, who?

July Wishes

Dear Friends,

I’m grateful that we made it to July 2020. You’ll agree that the year has been a stressful one. I hope you’re well and keeping safe. Don’t be anxious, things will make sense soon and we’ll live to testify.

Few hours before new year, I made a wish that I wanted to see a happy me in a peaceful world. New year arrived with a Greek gift. While we got news of this strange virus, I lost my elder sister and several relatives. I even lost several academic and career opportunities. Then came global rioting and demonstration caused by the killing of George Floyd in America. The world wallowed in suspicion, distrust and economic warfare. We never had it this tough for decades. I’ve never seen anything like it.

The outbreak exposed human fallibility. We trusted so much in science. The outbreak exposed that human activities hurt our environment. Yes it exposed science and its weakness. It exposed that we only love in lip service. It exposed how selfish, ignorant and wicked hearts of men can be. It exposed that governments don’t really care about the people. It exposed the beast – greed in man. Nature recovers slowly. We can’t help much, but we can encourage it.

As the world face a pandemic that knows either creed nor colour, we need to love more and show strong faith. Love is mother of all good things. Yes, the world can heal with love and faith gives the assurance of a better tomorrow.

July is here and we’ll surely progress through it. Remain focused on your goals. Show compassion. Be kind. Be courteous. Forgive freely. Remember the destitute, the homeless, the ones without food and clothing, when you give. Pray for one another.

I have this prayer for you: The sun, the moon and the stars will shine for your good. Divine Providence shall protect you. You shall prosper in good health and riches even more than your expectations. My soul rejoices with you for great testimonies. Happy new month.

With Love,

Oke’

Colourful Beauty

I could describe you with colours
So I look to your pout, a rose patch,
You blushed when our grey eyes met,
Then a smile that reminds me of glee

Now your pretty face reminds me of the sun,
When she rise from the back of many hills
Dragging her gold blanket before farms
So if you would let me paint this muse
I would imagine sunrise over wheat fields
And fast approaching evening when birds fly home

Self-Control

The secret of surviving tough times is your response to them – Dr Chris Kpakpovwe

The problems of life is not the problem itself. The problem is our reaction to the problem. We can allow problems to grind us to self pity or depression or it can become our stepping stone to progress/creative new thinking.

When you are in the middle of a trial, you don’t want emotions to dictate your actions, for the same reason a truck driver on the highway doesn’t want his cargo to dictate the ride. When that cargo starts shifting and sliding back and forth, the driver soon has a truck that is out of control: swerving back and forth, but the driver refuses to be controlled by the cargo- Tony Evans.

Refuse to get stuck in the negatives of life. Good morning from Africa.

As he thinketh…

Know that whatever you will become is a function of your thoughts. We are what we think. With our thoughts we make our world. What you picture in your mind, your mind will accomplish for you.

Consider the image above. While the world saw a cat, the cat saw himself a Lion! We could be greater if we can guide/guard our thoughts.

Resist low thinking, self pity, self comparison and depression. Be positive. Equate thoughts of failure with success, miserliness with wealthiness, pain with joy, hopelessness with hope, strife with peace and hate with love. Be determined to control your thoughts.

Think big and achieve big!

Thoughts: Africa

Don’t be overwhelmed by what you see. Stay calm in the raging storm

Life has not been so fair to many. Sometimes it is easy to imagine from a safe part of the world, how people survive in war torn, disaster/disease stricken parts of Africa.

We wake up in the morning to different news. Economic news reveal that we may lose our investments. Political news talk of conspiracies, deals, xenophobia and closed borders. Religious news bring to our notice intolerance of one religious group to another. Suicide bombings, children dropping out of school, unclean water, unhygienic sanitary practices, HIV, poverty, unemployment, wars, natural disasters and more. But in all these troubles, we find joy living one more day. The sun shines brightly, the bees will hum for her, flowers welcome her brightness and warmth and the people wake up to their duties. There’s a bird singing melodiously from the roof top. Can you hear it?

If you ever visit any African country, the scenery will amaze you. You will live in a state of two minds. Across the streets you may see children playing happily in the light rain and just by the street corner, a begging hungry teenage mother. You can wonder again, how there’s so much joy amidst much pain.

Strange as it seems, Africa has all resources to make the continent a Haven. But the leaders keep on mismanaging the resources. We have the population, which constitutes some of the world’s youngest. We have arable land, solid minerals, abundant sunshine, water bodies and at large, the workforce.

I hope that things turn around for good. I have faith in the growing call for justice for all and quality education. I believe there’s a solution coming. That solution may not be far away. Let’s watch the sun rise. Good morning from West Africa.

You can win

1

You can win

Don’t listen-

To naysayers

For you journey alone

2

You can win

Look within

Find what matters,

And believe in yourself

3

You can win

Of course you can

Trust in Jehovah

And let His peace guide you

Commentary:

Feeling down? Cheer up. You are far better than billions of people. You are unique and if you ever face any life’s challenge don’t shy away from it. If you run from it, it remains but if you face and defeat it, it would never come back. Resolve to enjoy your moments and feel the warmth of life no matter what. Yes, you can win!

Gods masterpiece, my inspiration

The clouds sing of Your Glory mighty One

The wind surf the mild waters of the ocean

Nature is just one of  Your Great masterpiece

The Earth is Your masterpiece

She spins up the space like a speck of dust

Which fall with the others when it is time

The snow melts down into the soil with time

She feeds the moisture starved grasses

With time we are left with lush greens!

See the sun set over the hills and greens,

Watch the little mistletoe grow on the garden

Let the wonders of our Gods creation unfold

For no one can ever be like Jehovah

Just by the Countryside

wpid-cameroon_rainforest_2.jpg

Just by the countryside…

Where only fields of green stay

And where the mud mix with the clay

Live the blue Clouds that smiled always

And everything  here had something to say

The trees tower over the fine little huts,

Where the green forest sit upon the hills,

With her inhabitants living with a firm will

Across the strings of hills and valleys

With the forest giving all something to feel

When we had the mornings…

We had dew fresh like the silk

And the buffaloes supply us milk,

There is a blue wide wild lake

Which gave the forest dwellers drink

The streams are clean, flowing eastwards

And a multitude of birds flew the skies

Banging their fair talons into the sky

Making a view for the bamboo trees which stood high

And dancing to the tunes of the waterfalls when she sigh

The noon blossom under the hot sun

Yes, the heat is not so hospitable, not so mild

But the birds still soared up the clouds

The women still had millet to pound

And men with their dogs hunt the hog

When the strength of the sun go faint

The men will gather at the inn for beer

The girls make the soup a little warmer

And prepare for a happy family dinner,

Stray songs of children make the evening milder

The Nights are not easy though

She tells of many long beautiful tales,

About the strange duck sitting by the well

Or the Old granny who sit to tell the tale

Of the giraffe which tried to make a sail

Across the big wide taunting Ocean

And how the Giraffe sank without a trace

The nights seem like a miniature race

Everyone hustle down with great haste

To the Oak tree where awaits an evening rest

Gladly seeking the new lands

The Shepherds Tale, another

Night approached silently again

And to the shepherd it was time to retire

A time of his loneliness, a time of his daydreaming

The Night  was the shepherds only companion

She brought with her a galaxy and some fresh air

And a bouquet of country music from the other locals

When the shepherd laid down, his head on his pillow of wool

He beheld the dark skies of the Night from his window

Smiling to the thought of his sheep, to the glittering stars

Which has come to welcome him from the long day at the field

The stars twinkle like fireworks, the shepherd rejoice on the view

Colorful, entertaining the sweet Night will be his only companion

And his lullaby will be sheep’s bleating and the music from the locals

Hospitality as Love

Genesis 18.2

wonderwordz_gardens_14.jpg

The world can only stand when we learn to love

The culture and philosophy of live and let live

Teaches us to live while letting others live

Let the Eagle perch, let also the Kite perch

None should forbid the other from perching

The love we give returns to us in some other ways

It might not in gold or silver bars, not like our expectations

It might not even come to us, but to our unborn generations

Let a garden signify love now,

A fine well tended garden

The gardener cares for the flowers and shrubs

He gives consideration to visiting birds

Dove, Pigeons, Cuckoo, Egret, Fisher and others

He throws them bread crumbs and peanuts

And finds delight in their well being

He also allows the worms, flies and bees visit

Making sure that these fellows are safe from the birds

To the worms he leaves a pile of tree leaves

And to the bees and flies he lets do their will

He watches the squirrel relocate to his trees

And feels joyful to accommodate them all

He lets passersby embrace the scent of his garden

Without these people, birds, insects and earth

There will be absolutely no sense in keeping a garden

Hospitality is another way of sharing love

Be welcoming…

A far country

On crossing the imaginary line in my minds eye

I see a country far away, farther than the length of the earth

Where the strong breezes of the ocean glide with the passing cloud

And the waters are troubled each time the breezes came

The dawn break high up the brown morning cloud

And no clear vision guaranteed, for the mist woke with the morning

I have seen where the forest pines grow so tall into the firmaments

And paint the clouds with a Heavenly hue of greenish delight

I have seen where the rivers flowed to, where they travel with haste

And where the little crab and bamboo seeds hide from the sun

I have seen the bare rocks of Nature grow from the land

And how they have carved a niche for any stray living thing

Becoming a citadel to the homeless faun of the forests

And a wonder to those who had had the chance to see

I have seen the waterfalls let sparkling drops fall from the skies

And seen the men who love God call out His name in joy and hope

I have found a land where women laugh as they dance

And where the people eat dates coated in warm honey

They sit in quiet unions and look at the moon light in the night

With hopes to see the morning birds sing before they wake

I have found myself clutched to a corner

And waiting for me to offer him my hand

A muse: Heavy evening rain

 rain

And now it rains with thunder

The hand of Cold had come for her asunder,

Come let us see the rains fall by the window

Let us dance in the rain and have fun while we can

Surely, the heavy rain has come to sow

And her many seeds are spread across the land

The sweet breezes that come with her

Battled the stranger for his umbrella

The  darkness grew and tried to mar

The way  and hope of this stranger

We sit to enjoy the drama

While the rains fall with thunder!

The Storm is Over

Continue in prayers

-Colossians 4.2

storm

Never lose hope when you see the storm come

Never say never before before the day breaks

For what seems to be the end might just be the start

Of something fresh,  new and beautiful

And after the cold winter comes the warm summer

The clouds might leave the day

The birds nowhere to be found

But don’t give up yet

The nights might be colder than the last

And hopes seeming to fly away like the egret

But do not let go yet

Now the dark  night grow strong

And all may seem wrong

But to faith we run

We listen to her song

We hope, we pray, we long

Bless us Lord, bless us

Let this storm pass

When the raging storm wears out

The dew settle down to her business

The wet Earth grow new seedlings

The trees bear fresher fruits

Fallen tree leaves give the soil nutrients

And life goes back to the normal

Never lose hope when you see the storm come

Never say never before before the day breaks

And if you lift your eyes to the hills

You shall see the golden sun rise again

African desire

wpid-cameroon_rainforest_2.jpg

My land is green

Africa, my Africa

Together we win,

My humble desire

Your arms are long like the bamboo weed

The smoothness of the riverside air sooth it

The hornet, the weavers all spread your seed

And with joy, we come to you to inherit

Your moments are fun, beautiful, we are joyful

You are full of splendor, full of colorful butterflies

We wait to see the yam sprout, we are hopeful

With the coming rains, we plant our rice

But wait, soon the sun will shine here

Soon the sleepy forests will come alive

Soon I shall be traveling, here and there

And soon I shall see your pretty smiles

The greenness of this land know no bounds

(Remind me) that these colors I must never get used to

Let the quietness of my soul, of this great land

Paint many colors and let it all be sweet hues

I am surrounded by thousands of trees

Which danced for me  in the dewy morning

In the evenings crickets hide in the shrub leaves

Finally, in these I happily put my hopeful singing

Arise in the morning, with commentary

Morning is breaking,
So is the sun upon the horizon
On a day many will till
And many will waste still
The clouds grow and spread
A blue apparition they made
With scupltures on the wind
And strange painting on the cloud
The waking day beckons to all
To everyone to work…

Arise when it is morning
Arise and shine…

Want a blog like this one? Then click this link.

Commentary.
Procrastination is the mother of delayed destinies. Most times we seek to ‘relax’ a little more, without understanding the consequence. In the morning, the sun wakes and she does so, so we could wake with her. Time lost can’t be replaced. Time runs fast and when we can we should try to keep up with her pace. Is it not said, time is money? A second is worth billions to some people, worth millions and thousands to others and worth nothing to others. Wake up when it is morning and do some work, do some more painting, more drawing, culture your flowers more, check your dance steps or songs lyrics, write another chapter, cook another recipe… Do anything, anything but procrastination. If you work for yourself or from home… A little more effort will be helpful. Start the idea you have been grooming, the sun is waking for you. Is it not a beautiful morning from Africa? So arise and shine and have for yourself a nice day!

My humble land

Now the morning has come finally
After the stress of yesterdays rain
This hilly land wakes warily
Our pots are full of Heavens blessings

Sweet musings and fine sights are all about me
The bees, the green hills, the swans that fly away
The vast fields of flowers which crops the Lilies
And the blue skies where the pretty birds stray

There is mixed brown and ash dusts of the Earth
Where happy green plants and trees thrives joyfully
And the look of mother Nature which makes my heart melt,
I’m filled with abundant joy which Gods creatures give me

The undulating hills of my homeland
The clean, flowing streams of Ovim
The caves, the Palm and Cassava land
Always to me it comes to overwhelm

The rocks that stay in the bamboo forest
Overlooking a peaceful flowing stream
Once in a while a fruit plunges into the current
And little fishes scatter in queer confusion

The red mud all about makes all boring
The birds twitter and trade up the palm tree
The dews are thick in the early morning
The happy children swim on the small stream

There is silver fish in the ponds
And very brave children who hunt them
There is the grasscutter and edible toads
And green weeds on the little streams

When the hunters come home, all is alive
The hamlet comes to hear their strange tales
The dogs, the kids, the other men and their wives
Everyone has an ear for the stories they have to tell

The palmwine is healthy and very sweet
The trees on the farms swerve joyfully,
When the tapper comes cycling to the market
The flies follow his trail, as his wine drip slowly

The people are very awesome
Hardworkers, doing every little job
Women are pretty, men are handsome
They till the land and graze the sheep

Now the memories of my humble land
The fears, the faith; the stress, the strengths
A fine land dreamingly made from a wand
Such that it comes alive in my minds eyes

Commentary.
Ovim is my homeland. Located in Abia state of Nigeria, it is a quiet place but full of life. The natives are known for their exploits in both business Entreprise, academia, agriculture and military. Ovim harbors forests, hills, streams and ponds, vast farmlands of cassava and yams (staple food common in the area). It is a fine place. The wildlife here are mostly reptiles (boas, pythons, lizards, monitors, other snakes), wild pigs, rodents, monkeys and birds. But some wild animals like the Alligators, the Hyena and Civets have been reportedly sighted.

Muse: Ne’er too late

When the sun fails to wake,
The day grows so cold and gloomy
The Dew cast her spell on the day
From the hilltops, vales and lakes
To the countryside which is woody,
And the ponds where the ducks lay
There is no ‘life’ in the sad day

By the riverside, the wind blast
Throwing the trees into a wild frenzy
The leaves fall into the flowing rivers
As the white waters rush in haste
To lands where very few can see
If the morning sun fails to rise even higher
Should it be an excuse not to work harder?

Now if the sun fails to rise
We grow weak with the waking day
And all surge of energy for work
Disappears from even the hardworker,
We excuse ourselves with the days rain
And call the heavy storms bad names
But if the sun never woke from her slumber
Should we join her in her temporary sleep?

Let a cloudy day come and rain fall
But don’t let your spirits be dampened
It is never too late to start

You, my Inspiration

I shall look upon Thee
In the face of the rising sun
And on the evenings airy breeze

Your beauty inspires me
I sit staring into the air
I see you walk to me
Entangling me in your embrace
Doing this little laugh
I always grew fond of

My joy knows no limit
The fragrance of your Love
Smears my soft heart
And in the nights I drove
To come see you
And to your smiles anew

Though the day took its toil
On my weary face and body
Your warmth suits me to the soul
I lay wondering how it be, how lucky
The evenings we shall watch the Sun take its fare
And the nights I shall pull your hair

Farewell

Farewell to thee city
It is time I move
I long to stay
But something else calls
I wish to play
But if I do, what shall I gain?
The clouds are grey
All is solemn
But despair not
I shall continue to write
To paint colors
To draw smiles on faces
To tell tales of inspiration
To do my best for mankind
To warm the hearts that love
To listen to the trees
To sing with the Wind
And foremost to love
But then forget not
My little efforts with desires
Of being with you
My strong rainy nights
My cricket room mates
The cold in the evenings
My window outpost
My blue eyed Clouds
The birds that twitter
The lullabies of the roof top
And the stories of my loved ones
I shall take a moment
To plead you to stay safe
And soonest, God willing I shall make
The ink and the pen my life

Godspeed to me
God stay with thee

Dear esteemed readers,
I am moving to another town, where I school. I shall try to post poems when I am free. I might be engaged with my academic books and the local radio.
