University Village, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque

I do not wrestle every shadow.

Some thoughts arrive like uninvited birds, landing briefly before taking flight. I have learned that not every visitor deserves a home.

When fear whispers, I answer with work.
When doubt lingers, I answer with gratitude.
When shame knocks, I remember grace.

The earth does not apologize for winter; it simply waits for spring. I have learned to wait too.

I walk.
I pray.
I write.
I rest.

And slowly, the loudest voice is no longer the one that tells me I cannot, but the quiet one that reminds me I already have.
