Train to Santa Fe

I have missed the rain so much; I’m grateful to see it fall again.

Verse 1: Mountains and Vast Grassland
Dry streambeds in a while
Lonely cattle here and there
Vast plains overlooking peaks
Hills grow into mountains
And mountains touch the clouds.

Verse 2: Rainfall and Gloomy Clouds
There’s raindrops on windows
A lullaby of metal and rain
Tunnels, bridges, creaking,
The clouds play hide-and-seek,
And sunlight is half amused.

Verse 3: Villages and Happy Folks
Clay houses, quaint townlets
Hurriedly waving past the train,
A cow enjoying the dreamy day,
A dog minding her business,
And pitchforks and hay lying idle.
