Proactive Leadership

Do you see yourself as a leader?

I’d like to think of myself as a leader because I’m proactive, creative, and willing to work with everyone. So I will answer with a list of my leadership experience in no order.

I’ve volunteered in-person and remotely for several NGOs in Africa, the Middle East, and America. I mentor some undergraduate students at my current school organized by the International Office. Before this, I held class and dormitory leadership positions during my high school, diploma, and undergraduate days in Nigeria. I also was the secretary to the Landlord’s/Tenants Association in my street while I was living in Nigeria. I worked as a teacher in Nigeria and as an executive assistant for an NGO in America. At the moment, I’m working part-time as a Teaching Assistant.

I was the Principal corps member during my National Youth Service Corps in Lafia, Nasarawa state. Other leadership positions held included the Scholars Council representative of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program as well as Resident Council member and Social Media Ambassador at my dormitory in the US. I have held several other leadership positions in church, school clubs, professional organizations, and alumni associations.

I’m sure that I will be holding future leadership positions and I look forward to learning and becoming a better person with each experience.

  1. Amazing, . . . yes, truly, AND THANK YOU for the SHARE.

That’s surely a big part of it, right ?

The PREPARATION for the “Role of a Lifetime”, even as we often get varying roles throughout a lifetime.

Thank you for having inspired me…and to help me to find a dusty old thought in some thrilling new ways.

I am at least slightly better for having paused my day to read through thus.

Thank you, and thank you again.

May you have and find much BEAUTY in this day.
