Thoughts: Keep your circle small

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Proverbs 13:20

Your company can support or hinder you. The people you surround yourself with can either ruin your dreams or help you fulfill them.

Think about the story of Joseph and his brothers. The brothers planned to kill him just because he shared his dream with them! (Genesis, 37).

There’s a saying among the Igbo about the chick watching the mother hen eat. The chick learns from the hen. If you spend time with greedy or selfish people, you’re likely to pick up some of their traits. Your company can bring out the best or the worst in you.

Some people might be in your boat but may not be heading to the same destination as you. Don’t let them sink your ship. Evaluate your company. Remember, an eagle has no business with crows.

Good morning from West Africa.
