Travel Light

What’s one piece of travel advice you always follow?

During my master’s at UC Berkeley, I’ve always traveled light. I return with gifts or things I’ve purchased. Once, I bought wood carvings of the Big Five animals at Nairobi Airport in Kenya; another time, on my way back from the University of Vermont in Burlington, I brought back a painting gifted to me by a Professor.

One piece of travel advice I always follow is to travel light. You never know what you might find or bring back from a place, so it’s always good to leave some room in your luggage. Besides, carrying less makes it easier to get around and gives you fewer things to worry about.
