What does it mean to be a good person?

I can’t speak for everyone. Perhaps the question is whether goodness is about how we treat others when people are watching or who we choose to be when no one is. Being good doesn’t mean being perfect, always making the right decisions, or pleasing everyone. It may be more about how we treat people, how we respond when we have the power to hurt them but choose not to, whether we can acknowledge when we’re wrong, and how we act when there’s nothing to gain from being kind. In a world that often rewards appearances and performances, perhaps goodness begins in quiet acts: the respect we show others and the courage to do what feels right, even if it means standing alone or acting when it’s inconvenient. And here’s something to reflect on: Can we truly call ourselves good people if our kindness depends on what we stand to gain?
Okay, I’m in the tsunami of doctorating (if that’s a legit word), so I might be away for a few days. Anyhow, Oke’s retiring for the night. Sleep well, y’all, when you do.
