The most annoying trope for me is the unnecessary love triangle. I understand that romance can add tension to a story, but sometimes it feels like the entire plot becomes about choosing between two people. Even worse, the characters often spend more time going back and forth than actually communicating or developing. Give me a good story, meaningful relationships, and characters with some emotional depth—without making every decision about who they should date. Just stop making things more complicated than they already are.
