Well, I wouldn’t say I recently picked this up; rather, I would say I have been writing a lot of fiction through imagination. Lately, I’ve been dedicating more time to working on a creative fiction project I started a while back when I was in Nigeria. My latest work, The Diary of a Village Boy: The Leopard Spirit, explores imagination, storytelling, and the mysterious spaces where everyday life intersects with the supernatural. In fiction, I get to bring worlds, characters, and possibilities to life, all while drawing inspiration from culture, memory, and the stories that shape our understanding of ourselves. This story follows a boy who grew up learning that he had supernatural powers. What kind of power? You’ll need to find out for yourself. Read an episode here.
