Love Poem: Vocal Night

A host of shrieking crickets
A plethora of frogs abundant
And birds of vocal strength
Perform a chorus tonight,
Wistful, thaw rhythms soft
Saved for a dull night
For two gentle hearts
In natural silence rest

I listen to your heartbeat
On my embrace, this night
