Human rights and gender equality are gaining momentum, and this is the best time to get things right. So I submitted the piece below:

She’s a lady and more,
The mother of life
And the heartbeat of nations,
An innocent child by the street corner,
Torn apart by her own society,
Groomed in love and piety,
Scarred by her own traditions
By some men and nations.
She’s a memory of pain,
Held in life’s hard pangs,
Yet she gives hope and love.
So remember to treat her that way.
