Don’t Forget To Dance
Dance because you can. Dance because you are alive and happy—put your hands up, shout for joy, and move your body, because you can.
May
Let a million tongues singYou, I, our stars, may we all win!
Quote: Self-Care
What details of your life could you pay more attention to? No one is coming to save you; no one is coming to make life right for you; no one is coming to solve your problems. If you don’t do something, nothing is going to get better — Nathaniel Branden

Multiple Ways of Knowing
In my research, I challenge the misconceptions that indigenous cultures have not contributed to modern knowledge. Different cultures have historically documented their knowledge in diverse ways, including through cultural practices such as music, spoken poetry, and dance performances. Recognizing multiple ways of creating and documenting knowledge can facilitate mutual understanding and acknowledgment, paving the way… Continue reading Multiple Ways of Knowing
Video: Black Cat
A random, curious black cat approached me a few days ago when I was exhausted from traveling and waiting for my host. It must have felt my tiredness. Reflection: Love and You Are My Star
Love One thing that the humankind needs to learn more often is how to love. Love can come in different forms. Respect is a form of love. Kindness, openness, happiness for others, and more. It’s a shame that a lot still divides the world. Tonight I chose to write a very short love poem—and for… Continue reading Reflection: Love and You Are My Star

Overthinking
What could you let go of, for the sake of harmony? Sometimes, I must go out of my head and listen to my heart. That is the biggest challenge. I’m working on it.
Folklore and Cultural Studies
On what subject(s) are you an authority? One subject that I admire and love so much is Folklore or Cultural Studies. What makes a teacher great? A teacher’s most significant job is to inspire their students—to make them believe in themselves. The teacher holds and plays an essential role in the society. Reflection: The Moon and Sun
I watched the beauty of this morning’s moonshine, clutching my sweater. It’s strange because we associate the morning with the sun and the night with the moon. I stood before my tent to fill my lungs with the purest air and see the sunrise. This quiet time was disturbed by passing aircraft gliding up the… Continue reading Reflection: The Moon and Sun

Nevadan Snowman
I stood admiring the shores of the blue and beautiful Lake Tahoe on the Nevadan side. Around the corner was a snow park where mountains stood still carved out of the skies. Sunset and Misery
Until When? It’s crazy times we live in. We just came out of COVID-19 to witness the world fall apart. I hope we survive the peace when it all ends and that we dare to look into people’s faces and say we tried our best to live in peace. We must learn to talk with… Continue reading Sunset and Misery

Sunset at Moss Landing
Moss Landing, CA Sunset reminds me of the need to rest, and ocean waves, their unison and sudden quietness, speak of taking breaks. The strong tides smash into the rock boulders, and the wind is busy throwing tantrums at the traveling sunset. My friends, always remember to take breaks and to make time for rest.

My morning routine is primarily reflecting on events from the past, a tiny dose of pushups (though not consistent), and practicing gratitude for everything. During the first hours, I usually read uplifting books—motivational or spiritual, to start the day.
