Overthinking

What are your biggest challenges?

Sometimes I just have to go out of my head and listen to my heart. That is my biggest challenge.

Happy New Year everyone! Have a good one!

  1. My biggest challenge is putting time into perspective. I do truly understand that time never can be bought back…but it seems to pass so slow, giving us an illusion that we can frolic away…until the clock has catapulted forward!!

  2. Remember that Nigeria’s hit song? “Overthinking no fit solve problem, better days are coming…”
You don’t have to think things too much. Take a step, live the rest in God’s hand.

  3. I am a professional overthinker. I not only guess second guess myself in my job- I work for a 24/7 phone and chat line where people go to for emotional support and/or crisis intervention and a lot of the intense calls I get , I say the right thing then when I get pushback I wonder if I said the wrong thing.

  4. I ran across Micheal A Singer, and love what he discusses about thoughts/feelings and over thinking really. How we don’t have to take on every thought that comes our way. I do research as well on neurobiology. One thing I ran across. The brain predicts what we want to think about. Think about it. I have learned to change from the old stuff to new things replacing those old thoughts takes a bit but it happens and is better as you learn to do and not go there! The brain will call up the pros and cons it thinks you want and there you are! I am much happier now!

  5. I have the problem of overthinking, too. I second guess myself and mess everything up at times. It’s hard not to, because I have no one to bounce ideas off of that’s qualified to answer my questions. So, I am left to vacillate on whether my plans and ideals/ideas are correct in ways of directions and motives.
