Family Thoughts

– Family is divine. God approves marriage and the family. The family influences society and acts as a force for positive change.

– Family provides hope and understanding more than anyone else. When we share roots, live together, play together, hope together, love and care together, and naturally notice when someone is sad, downtrodden, happy, or lively, we tend to understand each other easily. We know when someone needs to be alone or needs a hug. So, most of the time, the family truly understands.

– Family fun time is the best playtime! Have you watched a comedy, drama, or movie with your family, or shared a joke? Have you tried playing games with loved ones? The joy in the smiles and laughter of loved ones brightens the heart and lifts the soul. It’s an indescribable, heartfelt feeling.

– Family cares and loves. It is only within the family that unbiased love, care, and emotion are found. In a family that loves one another, God dwells, and a strong team of hearts is built.

– Family shares, builds, and lives together. Knowing that your sister, brother, husband, wife, child, uncle, aunt, niece, cousin, etc., are part of you—and traits you find in them may also be in you—strengthens feelings of closeness, community, and humanity. You see these people as yourself and love them just as much.

– Family is a divine source of comfort, encouragement, control, reconciliation, and consolation. Take a quick look at the prodigal son who returned with nothing but shame and disgrace, yet the family welcomed him back. When I feel deeply hurt, sad, happy, or accomplished, I reach out to my family or at least one member. It reassures me that someone has my back and will always lend a shoulder, arm, or word. During stressful times, like exams, I travel home to relax and relieve myself of the pressures of school, work, and other responsibilities. It works for me. Each time I return to my studies or work after spending time with my family, I feel better, more prepared, and more motivated to succeed and surpass my previous efforts.

– Sometimes, things change, but we must start and end with family. Here, you can always return—family is always yours. Friends may leave, but family stays forever.

So, pray, love, care, and never forsake your family.
