As the outdoor bulb lights softly illuminate the landscape, I can’t help but notice the wild grass gently swaying in the calm winds. The fresh scent of evening dew fills the air, creating a serene atmosphere on this beautiful desert night. Patches of brush are scattered around, and familiar shadows of the bushes dance across the ground, mirroring my own feelings as the evening unfolds. The twinkling stars in the dark horizon remind me of the bittersweet moments we all carry—grief intertwined with joy and hope. In this peaceful setting, I reflect on the majestic beauty of nature and the comforting sense of Godly Providence that surrounds us all.
The gray underbellies of the clouds seem to echo the chill of the evening wind. I can feel the cold nipping at my fingers, and each gust makes me shiver a little more. New Mexico, you’ve surprised me with your chilly weather, and yet, I find comfort in you. You’ve become a true sanctuary for me—a place where I feel secure. I’m genuinely grateful for that. Ultimately, it’s the conclusion of experiences that holds the most significance, far more than how they begin.
As I savor the soothing sounds of owls and the gentle rustle of burrowing critters, I find comfort in the symphony of the night during my evening walk. Standing atop the mountain, I stare at the town and contemplate the significance of this moment. While I write from my bed, I feel deeply grateful for all that life has offered—embracing opportunities, cherishing friendships, and recognizing the warmth of Divine Providence that surrounds us all.
