Iyi Okoroafor

As I mentioned earlier, Nigeria is blessed with many water bodies. Chief among them are the Niger and Benue rivers. There are small rivers, such as the Cross and the Argungu. Kainji Lake and Nigeria’s part of Lake Chad provide electricity and fish tourism, respectively.

In Igboland, iyi refers to streams or rivers. Rivers are very important to every community because they provide food and livelihood for people.

This is Iyi Okoroafor, located in Umuogele, Amuda, Isuochi, Nigeria.
